Hi, I am a noob to collecting POP figures, that said, I have a stupid question I was hoping someone, anyone could help me out with. I was looking on eBay and finding some POP’s that are typically somewhat valuable however the prices are quite low, I’m wondering if there are “counterfeit” POP’s and if so, are they identified by the fact that they are made in China? I usually see made in Vietnam on the packages accept for one I bought from Hot Topic here in Virginia USA which did say made in China so I’m confused about that. One seller on eBay specified” made in China, Chinese version” in their item description so that’s what raised my query as to whether or not that was significant in any way… Are some just made in China and/or are there “Chinese versions” of them and does that make them “fake”? ARE THERE “fake/counterfeit” POP’s? If I find a POP that sells on here for an average of $70 on eBay for $18-$20 is that a red flag?

A lot of the time there are so many variations of a POP that you need to make sure you look it over really well from the pictures provided. It’s helpful to get pictures of the whole thing and from what I have read pictures of their feet/bottom are helpful as well. There are many ways to tell if it is a legit POP and I just googled how to spot a fake funko POP. I’m sure you have found your answer by now but I felt the need to say something anyway. It seems the community is dead on here :\.
