The second round of the Pop Price Guide Crowdfunding has been a resounding success as we’ve officially surged past the $50,000 milestone in less than three weeks!
And as if that wasn’t exciting enough, we’re also proud to announce the arrival of the long-awaited, highly-anticipated hobbyDB / Pop Price Guide app.
More on that in a moment.
Pop Price Guide Crowdfunding
Time remains to join more than 80 new investors in owning a piece of Pop Price Guide, but, as promised, this round of crowdfunding will be a short one with a Dec. 4 end date.Â
To ensure everyone has a chance to opt in, we kept our minimum investment low at $100, and set the overall valuation at a fair price for our volunteers. When you invest in us, you are buying actual shares of the Pop Price Guide that you helped build. And as an owner, if we do well, so do you.

The hobbyDB / Pop Price Guide App
You’ve asked for it since the beginning. Now the first version of a native mobile application is on its way, courtesy of Zack Fisher, an original PPG Crowdfunder investor.
The beta version’s initial technology is a simple UPC scanner. Very soon you’ll be able to scan any barcode and if it matches a UPC in the database, the item will immediately load in your web browser.
From there you’ll be able to interact with the item as you would expect: adding it to your collection or doing a little research on the details and current value. The beta version will initially run on iOS devices as 60 percent of our members use iPhones. Look for an Android release coming soon.
Once Apple approves our submission it will be immediately available to anyone using an iPhone. As an additional perk to being a shareholder or volunteer, we can provide early access to the app through Apple’s Test Flight system. If you are interested in using the app before the official release, please let us know at team@poppriceguide.com.
Here is a quick demo on what we expect the application to look like:
