I’d imagine we’re going to see a lot more coming our way. Exciting.

EB Games / Game Stop also carry Target exclusives now. They don’t have the target sticker just a silver exclusive one on it. They also carry Walgreens and I believe they will get Toys R Us’ exclusives as well.

It’s always possible, although The Pokemon Company is a separate company to Nintendo (although they do own a third of it), so they may have just gotten the license for Pokemon, rather than all of Nintendo

I have to say as excited as I am, or was rather, this is extremely disappointing… Pikachu officially a Target Exclusive? Seriously!? That’s absolute trash… What about every single Pokemon lover who doesn’t live in the United States?!? Pokemon is such a popular franchise that is so nostalgic for so many Funatics like myself around the world; and there are millions of us who literally have zero access to Target stores. Not only is it completely unfair that such a Landmark Pop would be exclusive to a store that only ships their Exclusive Pops to the U.S. but it’s also an absolutely egregious business decision; literally throwing hundreds of thousands of dollars away, if not significantly more, by not making this a Common Pop available to everyone at all the various Pop Retail locations worldwide, or at very least in North America. Rather surprising that based on everything Funko says it stands for that you wouldn’t be thoughtful enough and/or smart enough, if you like making money that is, to also make Pikachu available at an exclusive retailer in other countries besides the U.S. so at least everyone could have a chance to catch this inaugural Pop Pokemon. Just in case it isn’t blatantly obvious, very simply put, the whole point of an Exclusive Pop is so that the Retailer can draw in more business and increase their Sales… in this case Pikachu and Target. Now yes, Target has finally started shipping to Canada, but no they will not ship the Target Exclusive pops, they’ll only ship common Pops which are available everywhere… tell me why anyone would be ignorant enough to order a Common Pop from the U.S., (from Target), and pay all the conversion and shipping and taxes and duties involved when they could walk into any retailer in Canada, get that same Pop and avoid all that hassle… to put it plainly, they wouldn’t be that ignorant, at least I hope not… So given that Target is already not cashing in on sales of their exclusive pops anywhere outside of the U.S. then why does it make the slightest difference if you release a Target exclusive Pop in the U.S. at a different exclusive retailer in other countries besides the U.S.? The question is rhetorical; the answer is it makes zero difference and there is absolutely no reason why not to do that. As an avid OOB Pop collector nearing 1000 Funko items I speak not only for myself but also for the alarmingly large and fast-growing number of other people in the Funko Community based on the posts I read, when I say we are finding it harder and harder to stomach the fact that so many of the Pops we would love to add to our collections are only available in the U.S… Specifically when those retailers, including the Funko HQ for crying out loud, will NOT ship outside the U.S… It would honestly be less painful to purge my entire collection and not have any Pops at all, than to have to keep being disappointed over and over and over again when I miss out on an awesome Pop because Canada, and the rest of the world for that matter, apparently doesn’t deserve to be a full part of the Funko Funatic community. I love Funko, I love your Product and I love the nostalgia it brings me… But think of how it felt when you were a kid and you really wanted “something” but you never ended up getting it; all your friends had that cool new “thing” but you didn’t and it really, truly sucked and made you feel awful… that is the exact feeling I get when I see a Pop I want, but can’t get… wouldn’t it be easier to just not collect Funko at all and just ignore the product all together and save myself the anguish?.. when you’re collecting you’re constantly searching for what’s coming out next so you don’t miss it; but when 30% of the time you have no choice and you’re 100% going to miss it anyway because the new Pop you want is being released somewhere you have no means of obtaining it, then it begins to not be worth it anymore… How do you decide between collecting the Funko items that take you back to your childhood and give you that precious feeling of nostalgia or being heartbroken every time a pop comes out that you can’t obtain and will likely never get, barring paying some exorbitant re-sale price… The decision gets lets foggy every time this happens… It may just be better and easier and much, much cheaper in the long run to keep all your hard-earned money rather than spend it on products from a company that will consistently and constantly disappoint you by not allowing you to obtain those nostalgic “things” that are nearest and dearest to your heart. For example… as a die hard Pokemon fan I would seriously want to have and not hesitate in buying all 151 Pokemon Pops from the 1st generation of Pokemon… However, If I can’t have the very first Pokemon pop ever, and arguably the paramount one for Pokemon lovers as Pikachu is the face of the franchise, then I simply wouldn’t want to collect any of them as the collection would be incomplete… If I break it down, averaging $15 a Pop I would go from spending over $2000.00 on Pokemon Pops, to spending ZERO… If even one thousand people thought and feel the way I do, and I 100% guarantee you there’s more than a thousand, then right there you’ve already lost over $2,000,000.00 dollars. Anyway, I digress… But Funko… Please take this as my formal plea for you as a company to get your act together and make the distribution of Funko products fair and evenly accessible to all us Funatics out here… Please include all of us… We deserve to be included… If you keep breaking us down, you will eventually lose the favour of all of us whom you rely on to support your company and grow your business. A+B=C.

Amen. One thing though: I just came from Target’s website & *all the Pops were tagged “Will not ship outside the US”, not just the exclusives.

Do you guys think the possible popularity of the pikachu pop will lead to more pokemon pops? I’d love a luxray but I know it’s improbable

Here’s hoping, mate. While I don’t want all 151 of the critters, there are at least 10 I’d get.
