Sweet! Another event for “special” Funko collectors aka “a special event for flippers to make huge profits”…. Looks like I’ll never see yet another Batman in my collection…

If anything, this was 400 of the most diehard Funko collectors out there. I’m sure a couple of flippers got in, but it happens. My fiance is a frequent poster on the boards and was able to get us tickets so we got to attend as our first official Funko event. It was all the big time collectors and outstanding members of the funko community. This wasn’t Fundays where 50% of the people scooped up tickets solely to flip Pops for a massive profit.

It’s not like you have to worry about seeing it everywhere. Calm down.

I really cant stand half the collectors on this site anymore, every fucking post just bitching and complaining about the release in some way

Right?! Plus Batman far outsells most of the pops out there and if not for popular characters like him; Funko wouldn’t have the money to make the lesser known & obscure pops (Golden Girls, Friends & the lame dog breeds).

Kinda pissed about the fact that you HAVE to live in America to even gain access to some limited editions or specials. Me being from the Netherlands, I can only get these exclusives if I pay 100 euros or more, plus the expensive as hell shipping. Really loved this batch and I sincerely hope one day they will be available for purchase outside of the U.S.A someday

I feel your frustration. I live in Canada and they won’t ship here either. I really wanted that Elvira but there is no way in hell that I’m going to pay the prices listed on eBay for her.

How do you even attend something like this ?

You had to be a registered member over on the funkofunatic.com message boards prior to the date the event was announced. Anyone was allowed to enter the lottery for tickets regardless of post count and access to order tickets were given out at random to make it fair. Totally exclusive to forum members.
